A space where you can take a break with a cup of Stumptown coffee and watch our bike production happening in the back of the cafe. Heritage Bicycles are assembled on-site, available for sale and on display for a test drive! There is cafe seating available in our communal space. So sit back, enjoy a beverage and watch the bicycles being built. You can also grab a seat while your own bike is being tuned up or repaired. We are not leaving the non-coffee drinkers out in the cold either, the cafe will also include Brooklyn's P&H Natural Soda, Chicago's Southport Grocery pastries and small bites along with an assortment of teas and hot chocolate for Chicago's many winter nights.
In the midst of this unique environment you will also find some speciality items such as Mast Brothers Chocolate, Kozie Prery cycling hats of recycled materials, and some other local products for you to peruse.
It's a warm, friendly atmosphere. It won't be unlikely to see owner Mike, his wife Melissa, (usually with camera in hand), their little guy Bennett, and their dog Koozie, running around the shop. This will be their second home as they host you to feel like a welcomed guest.
Mix in this family with bike enthusiasts, coffee drinkers and the neighborhood locals, and you're beginning to get an idea of what the Heritage General Store is all about.
