Just as you see our baristas working hard at the counter, you will also see our bike guys hard at work in the back of the cafe. These bike guys will be specialists from West Town Bikes, a program that educates youth with a focus on under-served populations.

I bring (along with my camera) a creative, multiple plate-spinning style of energy. More importantly, I bring a desire to share a life changing lesson that was taught to me while living in Ireland: slow down, and take time to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with friends.

But the cutest thing I bring is Heritage’s youngest fan, Bennett Salvatore, who promises to bring a clean diaper and some milk to share.

I bring the open door policy which was a standard in my home growing up. My parents hosted many travelers, exchange students and friends. The Heritage space was created with the large communal table, the blank canvas of space, the energy of bikes being assembled, the flash of cameras and the smell of coffee brewing so that creative ideas and good moments will come out of the Heritage Bicycles General Store.

The Brains

I bring technical, architectural and engineering knowledge informed by the bicycle. Problem solving through drawings and three-dimensional analyses is a major focus of mine. I have an affinity and attraction to beautifully crafted objects no matter if they're carved by hand or turned-out by a machine. Not only am I a bicycle racer, but I am a year round bicycle commuter.

I bring a warm-welcome and a strong passion for cycling, community, and craftsmanship. A lifelong cyclist, shaped in the motor-city, now motor-less in the city. I have an eye for function and design, comfortable around a crank-arm, coffee cup, camera, and crowd. I bring creative energy and enthusiasm.

I bring an open mind, warm heart and inventive enthusiasm for coffee.

Gathering people together to share stories and experiences is a great
thing, and coffee does just that. I bring a perceptive love for craft,
detail and creativity. This shows in the process, from the bean to the
vessel. It is my goal at the Heritage space to bring you memories,
laughs and ideas through the perfect cup of coffee.
